01. About Me

Hello! My name is Marielle Harrell, and I'm passionate about crafting innovative solutions for the web. My journey into coding began in 2018 during my junior year of high school when I was introduced to C++. This initial spark ignited my interest in coding, leading me to pursue it as a career.

At Indiana University Indianapolis, I pursued majors in Informatics and Media Arts & Science with a specialization in Web Development. Throughout my college years, I had the opportunity to collaborate with peers on various projects, develop my own web applications, and serve as a peer mentor, assisting other students in my major. My education equipped me with proficiency in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. Today, my focus lies in tackling larger projects and continuously enhancing my skills in web development.

Complementing my academic journey, I've acquired invaluable experience through both internships and professional roles. From my impactful internship at Infosys to my current position as a Software Engineer at CALRegional, I've continuously enriched my skill set and expertise.

Weather API

Developed a responsive weather application compatible with both computers and mobile devices. Leveraged the weatherapi.com API to retrieve accurate weather information. Enhanced skills in presenting data in a visually appealing manner. Utilized a tech stack comprising JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SCSS, and jQuery to create an engaging user experience.

Developed a vibrant and user-friendly application tailored for the Child Life Zone at Riley Children's Hospital. Prioritized simplicity, colorfulness, and fun in the design to cater to its young users helping to descover what CLZ has to offer. Utilized Adobe XD, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript to create user interface and design.

This is a dynamic data application made with React hosted on Microsoft Azure. This site displays information about digimon characters in a model view. This site includes music, animations, and user interaction.

Flowerio

Crafted Flowerio, a sleek and responsive one-page website, employing fundamental HTML and CSS techniques. Leveraged Adobe XD to conceptualize and design the user interface, ensuring a visually appealing layout. Translated the design into code using Visual Studio Code, meticulously bringing the design to life with attention to detail.
